Mass Edit
The Mass Edit process allows you to update a single value on multiple sites in one step. This is handy if you need to reassign the analyst or change the working interest to more than on site, rather than going to into Site Maintenance and updating them one by one.

Where can I find it?
You can find this process on the main menu under Sites | Mass Edit, or by using the screen search at the top of the screen.
How do I use it?
To apply a new value for a specific data field you must specify three things:
- The field to be updated
- The new value to assign to the field
- The list of sites to be updated
First select the field to be updated from the drop down field, if nothing is selected it will contain the text 'Item to Edit'.
Next specify the new value you wish to update the specified field for. The field will contain the text 'New Value' if there is no value specified. The entry for this field will be different for each item. Where the value comes from a lookup table (Analyst, Operator, etc) a popup list will be shown to select from. For values that do not use a lookup table what you will see depends on the underlying data type of the field. Text entries such as Area, Pad Name, etc will just be entered manually. Other fields will limit the entry by provided a dialog (for dates/periods) or a dropdown containing valid items for the field.
Finally click the button labeled 'Select Sites' to choose the sites to be updated.
Once all parameters have been specified the screen display will be updated to show you the sites selected to update, the current value for each site and the new value that will be applied. You should review this carefully to ensure that you have specified the correct sites to update.
To apply the changes click the button labeled 'Apply Changes'. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to continue, click 'Cancel' if you do not want to apply the changes
